| The 17th century French Single was designed by Marc Ducornet after a close examination of the instruments of Vaudry, Denis, and Tibaut as well as various instruments by anonymous builders in museums in Germany and the USA. The result is an instrument that is remarkably true to the surviving antiques in tone yet is well within the abilities of a first-time instrument builder. |
